Male grooming company Gillette has been announced as a partner of esports industry awards show Esports Awards.
The partnership will see Gillette present the Esports Awards pre-show. Moreover, the awards ceremony will also feature ‘Gillette Resets’ segment transitions.
According to a release, the Gillette-presented pre-show will be a ‘showcase of talent, innovation, and excellence in the esports world’ while the Gilette Resets segments are expected to fuse gaming and grooming.
This is not Gillette’s first foray into esports, having run its ‘Gillette Cup’ Fortnite tournament as well a long-standing esports & gaming campaign the ‘Gillette Gaming Alliance’. More recently, the company teamed up with gaming peripherals manufacturer Razer for a limited edition run of Razer-branded grooming products.
Gillette joins a range of partners for the 2023 Esports Awards, including internet service provider Xfinity, The Sidemen’s vodka brand XIX Vodka and sunglasses brand Oakley. Japanese car manufacturer Lexus is sponsoring the event for the fifth consecutive year, this time as the title sponsor, while a partnership with professional gold tour LIV Golf has also recently been announced.
The awards are set to take place on November 29th and 30th and will be held in Las Vegas, US at the Resorts World Las Vegas. Hosted by Alex ‘Goldenboy’ Mendez and Miles Ross, the awards are designed to showcase the esports industry’s best talents, including players, organisations, tournament organisers, content creators and more.
