As a result of the partnership, GRIDSERVE will be integrated into the organisation’s content and branding for the 2024 season.

Resolve’s Rocket League team will compete under the name ‘GRIDSERVE Resolve’ and be involved in a series of content highlighting GRIDSERVE’s work in environmental sustainability. Moreover, GRIDSERVE will be featured on the roster’s in-game decals.

Rocket League team decals are part of the game developer Psyonix’s revenue-sharing scheme. Fans can purchase in-game cosmetics of their favourite teams while the organisations benefit from 30% of the revenue generated.

GRIDSERVE is a tech-enabled sustainable energy business founded in 2016. The collaboration with Resolve is the company’s first entry into esports as it aims to reach a new audience.

Founded in 2015, British esports organisation Resolve hosts both men’s and women’s rosters at the highest level of European Rocket League. Resolve has previously partnered with UK-based F1 team Williams Racing and sportswear company SKINS.

The esports organisation will also initiate a climate-positive project in the upcoming year. The initiative’s goals will go beyond achieving net zero as an organisation. Furthermore, fans will receive rewards for participating in the project. Specifics about the initiative have not been shared so far.

Besides Resolve, several other British esports organisations have engaged in partnerships aimed to have a positive impact on fans and the industry. This year, Guild Esports became the first esports brand to work with initiative Merky FC to uplift diverse voices in gaming and esports. Similarly, EXCEL ESPORTS partnered with British bank HSBC UK to educate fans about financial literacy.

Jeff Simpkins, COO of Resolve, commented on the partnership with GRIDSRVE: “We’re extremely excited to be working on this partnership with GRIDSERVE. The opportunity to align ourselves with GRIDSERVE’s purpose; ‘to deliver sustainable energy on the scale that is required to move the needle on climate change’, is in particular something that we’re really excited about exploring.

“We are thrilled to be working with an organisation that promotes this message as we look to be more conscious about our impact on the planet.”
